Sunday morning

Sometimes we get stuck in a routine.  Sunday mornings are for lounging around, reading the paper, maybe a few cartoons and doing boring housework.  A few weeks ago, I woke up and decided we should go to the Ledges.  When I was a kid, I remember going to the Ledges and hiking and playing in the creek.  Having cars drive by and splash you.  So on this particular Sunday morning, we decided to load the kids and the dog into the car and head to the Ledges.  I packed up some sandwiches, a few pretzels and lots of water.  As soon as we parked, around 11am, Braydon wanted his sandwich.  So we got Braydons sandwich out, which meant Kellan wanted one, so we had our lunch early.

Then it was time for some hiking.  Braydon decided he should be the leader.  We let him choose which way he wanted to go and he did a great job!  It was a lot of fun watching him.  He was so proud of his choices on which way to go and he loved jumping over the logs in the path.

After lots of hiking it was time to finish up our lunches.  Which all we had left were some pretzels.  We found some shade and ate up!

Always sharing is sometimes tough
After our snacks, we got to play in the creek.  At sure Kellan wasn't sure what to do eventually he decided it was fun to throw some rocks.

Braydon loved running in the water

And eventually Kellan decided falling on his butt was the best thing to do

We had a great morning.  What a perfect way to spend a Sunday.
