Christmas Time
On Saturday night, Braydon and I headed to his 1st Christmas party. So Braydon got dressed up in his new Christmas onesie (thanks Grandma Murf) and his best santa hat and we headed out for a night of fun. I was a little worried that he might be a little out of place where there was a dj, beer pong and flippy cup going on. Well to my surprise he was the hit of the party. Once we got there, I barely saw him. Everyone wanted to hold him and kept saying he was pretty cute. Overall it was a good party, although he was the only one to pee his pants!
On Saturday morning, Ryan, me, Braydon (all bundled up in his bear suit) and Wrigley all headed to the tree place to pick out our Christmas tree. After searching the lot for just the perfect one (luckily Braydon's eyes didn't freeze shut) we loaded up and brought it home. After having Ryan move it around the room 10 times, we finally got it in place. Braydon got to put his own ornament on the tree and so did Wrigley.
Rolling over
On Friday night, Braydon was on the verge of rolling over. By Saturday morning, he decided it was time. He rolled from his back to his tummy! We were pretty excited. I was filming him and I stopped to wipe his face and by the time I got the camera back, he had already done it! Once he gets on his tummy, he gets mad and cries. So we roll him back to his back and again right away he rolls back to his tummy. It is funny and frustrating. Saturday night, he probably woke up 5 times because he was on his tummy and upset about it. Finally that last couple of nights, he doesn't get so mad and ends up sleeping on his tummy. No more leaving an unattended baby on the changing table!

3 months old and still spitting up
On November 20 - Braydon turned 3 months old. It is hard to believe that he is already that old. He is definitely growing and he already weighs over 13 pounds. He is becoming more and more content and really enjoys playing with his hands. He just holds them together. He is grabbing on to everything. He likes to hold on to your hand, his rings, and especially Grandpa Lumpy's chest hair! He also enjoys talking. For some reason, Ryan and him can hold entire converations. He has even rolled on to side a few times - just his side though, he wants to avoid the tummy! We have to be really carefully with him on the changing table now because he could probably roll himself off.
Poor Wrigley - as if its not bad enough, this kid as taken over her house and all of our time, now he even spits up on her!

Thanksgiving
Braydon's 1st Thanksgiving was a huge success. We definitely had a busy few days, but it was great to see a lot of family. On Wednesday afternoon we headed to Perry to stay at Grandma and Grandpa Lumpy's and to see Joel, Kristen, TJ, & CT - who we have not seen since August! It was so great to see everyone, especially the boys! They are so grown up. Charlie is everywhere and Tyson is so grown up. Grandma Noonan was also there and Braydon really loved her talking to him. He just kept smiling at her.
On Thursday, the Noonan's and Lundstroms came to town and Braydon got to meet some Aunts, Uncles and cousins he had never met. He greeted each one of them with a smile and of course a little spit up! Sorry Aunt Betty & Doris!
On Friday we headed out to Grandpa Wink's where we had more food and of course more family. Braydon got to wear his bibs that were just like his Great Grandpa's. Braydon even got to hang out outside next to the "bon" fire that Ryan started. We got to try out his Bear outfit to keep him warm. He was a little unsure about it!
Then Friday night, Ryan, Grandma Marcia, Aunt Dani and I headed to town to go see Santa Claus. Lucky for us, Aunt Dani held our spot in line while we made an emergency diaper change!
Saturday and Sunday were spent at home recovering. It was a great couple of days.

The latest happenings
On Nov. 12 I went back to work and Grandma and Grandpa Lumpy came to town to babysit for Thursday and Friday. Braydon really enjoyed having them around and Ryan and I enjoyed them cleaning house and doing our laundry! On Saturday Bridget Wilson got married, so Braydon went to his 2nd wedding reception. He did pretty good considering they had a band that Lumpy classified as playing "hard rock". On Monday, Braydon made his first trip to the babysitter where he has become the perfect baby. He doesn't spit up or cry at her house. I have no idea what she does with him, but he is a pretty happy kid!
the pictures are from the wedding reception with Grandpa & Grandma, Braydon's first day at the babysitter and Braydon trying out his bumbo seat!

1st wedding reception
Last weekend we took Braydon to his 1st wedding reception. Brad Snowgren got married in Fairfield, Iowa - which is about a 2 hour drive. Ryan went to the Iowa vs Northwestern game that morning, so he met Grandma Marcia, Braydon and I there. Braydon did awesome at the reception and really enjoyed the music. He was pretty cute all dressed up ... the rest of us didn't look too shabby either.
Does this diaper make me look fat?
Braydon had a few moments of none crying the other day and I thought he was looking pretty cute in just his diaper. He absolutely loves naked time!

Braydon's first Halloween
On Friday, Braydon, Wrigley and I headed to Perry to trick or treat with Grandpa and Grandma Lundstrom and Grandma Marcia. Braydon got to try out his penguin costume. He was thrilled!
We spent the whole day in Perry and Braydon and Wrigley got to help hand out candy. We finished the night with a trip out to Great Grandpa Wink's where we got to see Great Aunt Marilyn before she left for Alaska.
On Saturday we watched the Iowa vs Indiana game. We had to put Braydon in his football costume at halftime hoping it would bring some luck to the Hawks and fill our house with some laughter after all the yelling in the first half. Dad got to practice his Heisman pose and also worked on his punting.
On Sunday, Braydon was finally happy enough to check out my pumpkin.

Braydon enjoys...
Braydon enjoys doing a variety of things. Some of his favorites include... helping Dad make his fantasy picks, watching the hawkeyes with Dad, watching good movies - Happy Gilmore (seriously he turned his head towards the tv to watch), and of course watching my Dad while he sleeps!

I'm 2 months old!
Braydon turns 2 months old! It has been a really busy two months that have gone by really fast. We went to the doctor today and he weighs in at 12lbs 2oz and is 23 inches long. Not sure how accurate the length is because he really didn't want to stretch his legs out. He got some shots today and he did pretty good. Throughout the last 2 months Braydon has had lots of visitors, got lots of fun toys and clothes, began to smile and even "coo" some and has even found time to poop on his mom and dad! Here's

I have a thumb!
For a few weeks, Braydon has been thinking about sucking his thumb. On Sunday, he finally discovered he could suck on his thumb anytime he wants. The past few days, he is pretty much choosing his thumb over his pacifier. It is pretty cute. Hopefully that will mean less trips for mom and dad at night to stick the pacifier back in his mouth!
Bath time
Braydon usually gets to have his bath before bed and he is slowly starting to like it. We have no video or pics of bath time because it usually takes two of us to give him his bath. During his first bath, he decided to poop everywhere - which was nice. Lucky for us, he hasn't done that since. It must have been one of those 1st bath things. Since then, he is starting to enjoy it, he really likes it when we pour the water over him. His favorite part is definitely getting all wrapped up in the warm towel afterwards!

Braydon's 1 month photos

Back in September, I decided Braydon should get his 1month pictures done. I went to the Picture People because I have heard they are the "best". Well I ended up with the 1st time photographer and she kept saying "Braydon look over hear, Braydon please look at me" - seriously he was 1 month old! But after 2.5 hours of hanging out at the picture store and me pulling his pacifier out right before she took the picture, we ended up with a few cute ones.

Braydon's First Tailgate!
On Friday, September 18 we loaded up the family truckster with Mom, Dad, Grandma Murf, Braydon, Wrigley and everything we owe and headed to Iowa City. We first went to Cedar Rapids so Braydon could meet his Great Grandma Noonan, who definitely gave him a great big hug! Friday night we stayed at Aunt Dani's and of course ordered some delicious Wig n Pen. Saturday morning we got up and headed over to tailgate with the Noonan's. Braydon thought it was a good time and he looked pretty cute in his Iowa outfit, hat and pacifier. Before kickoff Grandma Murf headed back to Aunt Dani's with Braydon to watch the game in the air conditioning while the rest of us headed to the game. At the end of the day the Hawks pulled out a victory and we all decided Braydon looks pretty good in Black and Gold!
