The Murphy Family: trick or treat

I was pretty excited about Halloween this year. I thought Braydon would think it was really fun. One of the funny things he does is make the best cow sound "moooooo". So one day I was at Target and they had the cutest cow costume. I thought...this will be perfect. It was soft and I thought he would think it was really cool to dress like a cow and mooo. On Sunday, October 30 - it was time to put the costume on. I was in California, so Ryan was in charge of handing out candy in our neighborhood. Aunt Dani was there to try and get him in his costume. I don't have the full story, but it sounds like Dani tried pretty convincingly to get him into his costume, but he wasn't having it. Finally she gave up, Braydon just handed out candy with Ryan and thought that was pretty fun. Before I left we did carve pumpkins though. I also thought Braydon would think it was fun to pull the insides of the pumpkin out, again I was wrong. He was really not interested!

Halloween take 2. Since I wasn't home for trick or treating in our neighborhood, I thought we would take advantage of Perry's trick or treating. We headed to Perry with the cow costume and a back-up plan. Well every time I mentioned the cow or showed it to him, he cried and said "no" "no cow". So I finally had to give up. But I will say he ended up being the cutest hawkeye football player! We meant G & G Lundstrom at Grandma's work, they were handing out candy from 4-6. All the business' downtown do that and it is pretty convenient. Braydon helped hand out candy for a little while and then he decided to go to a few stores himself. He thought it was pretty fun, until some very scary zombies showed up behind us, that made him pretty nervous. After we left downtown, we headed back to the Lundstrom house so we could eat and Braydon decided to trick or treat at 2 of the neighbors houses. I couldn't believe how quickly he figured out what to do!
