May...is just beginning!

What's the first thing you do every May?  May Day Baskets of course.  I always thought this was so fun and I loved getting these May Day Baskets and giving them to others. This May Day,  I was home with the boys, but of course I didn't remember it was May 1st until that afternoon.  That evening, our neighbors rang the door bell  and delivered baskets for the whole family.  So we decided it would be fun.  We decorated some plastic cups with stickers, put a tag in them saying Happy May Day, popped some popcorn, added some trail mix and called them good to go.  Since I am in no running shape, Ryan being the "fun dad" helped the boys deliver baskets around the neighborhood...Braydon thought it was pretty fun!

It has been a very long winter, so at the first sign of a nice day, we really try to get out of the house.  So we took an impromptu trip to the zoo.

The boys both got new sunglasses...so they put them on and say..."I'm cool!"

Nothing says cool like a thumb in your mouth!
Next up...mother's day.  We mixed things up this year and grilled out at our house this year.  It was great to have our families hear and this year...the Kansas Lundstrom's were able to join us.  We had a relaxing day of food and family

  1. May Day is totally a mid-west thing. We have not made May day baskets in years, I miss that. Thanks for sharing.

  2. May Day is so fun, but Ryan and I weren't sure why we did it!
