February update and trip to Kansas

February came and went before we knew it.  Just like January we spent A LOT of time stuck indoors.  Lucky for us we have just a few toys to play with!

For the Super Bowl this year, we had a few friends over.   The "older" kids were able to go downstairs and play by themselves and we just had the babies upstairs with us.  It is always fun to have people over but it was funny how everyone left at halftime to put the kids in bed! Oh how times have changed!

As I have mentioned before, Braydon likes to bake with me, but we decided to let Kellan help too.

Also in February was Kellan's first Valentine's Day.  They were able to have a party at the babysitters and of course they got some good treats.   Kellan also thinks he should feed himself.  He was trying to use the spoon in the picture below to eat applesauce, which he does pretty well, but I think he decided licking the bowl would be easier...where did he learn how to do that (Dad??)

Kellan's first valentine's! (Aunt Kristen...do you remember getting Braydon this shirt)

Every year we try to make a trip to Kansas in January or February to celebrate my nephews, Tyson and Charlie's birthdays.  This year, we had 2 trips cancelled before we even had our bags packed because Charlie was sick!  We have been really lucky this winter with our kids not catching anything, so we decided not to push our luck. Lucky for us we finally made the trip in mid February!

Uncle Joel and Kellan

Braydon loves going to Kansas.  The Lundstrom house is full of fun toys and of course Tyson and Charlie have an I-pad (he tells a lot of people this important fact).  What I didn't know is Kellan would also like the I-pad!

Time for another birthday....lucky for us Aunt Kristen whipped up a cake so we could have a little birthday party for Tyson and Charlie.

Tyson is 9!
Charlie is 5!

With all the boy cousins together, it was the perfect opportunity to get a group picture...these are always entertaining.

Really... you all couldn't look at the camera at the same time once!  Oh well.

Saturday we hung out most of the day.  Tyson had a "hot shot" competition.  So we went to cheer him on.  He did awesome!  Such good form!

We spent the rest of the day hanging out at the house and we had a lot of fun.  We were going to go to the Kansas State basketball game, but who knew it would be a tough ticket to get.  So Joel sold his tickets and we just hung out, which was a lot easier with the boys.

We also had the kinnect going, which was hilarious!

Serious boys!

Sunday morning, Tyson and Charlie had plans to get their pictures taken at a park.  So we all went with them.  After the pictures, it was so nice out that the boys got to play at the park for a little bit.

As always we had a great time visiting the Kansas Lundstroms.  They are always great hosts!

The last weekend was celebrating kellan's first birthday!  I think his birthday deserves its own post...so I will work on that.

Just a few more pics from February!

Kellan loves looking out the back door outside.  Finally some sunshine on his face!  Hurry up and get here spring!

Braydon taking my picture, he is getting pretty good at this!

Next up...Kellan's 1st birthday!
