Welcome to Colorado!

The first week in August we headed off to Colorado for Ava's 2nd birthday party.  We loaded the van with Grandma, Grandpa, Joey, Braydon and me.  Everything started out great, Braydon was pretty excited to be riding in the van.  Then we got about 30 minutes down the road, and Braydon got sick.  This meant a naked kid on the side of the highway as we cleaned up the van and his car seat.  Lucky most of it was on his clothes so we were able to use some baby wipes and get back on the road.  We made a few stops, complete with a picnic at a rest stop and a stop at the Welcome to Colorado sign.  

 

 

Next up, was getting to the Lundstrom's.  They waited for us to have dinner and we were able to hang out a little bit.  Then Saturday morning was the day of Ava's party.  We decided to go for a walk in the morning and the weather was awesome.  We loaded Ava and Braydon up in the wagon.

Then it was time for Ava's party.  She had lots of friends come over and there was lots of food to eat.   I think Braydon and Ava enjoyed the birthday cake the best!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Twins!

 The next day, we loaded up in the cars and headed to heritage park.  It is a small amusement park next to the Red Rocks. Ava and Braydon were sooo excited to get there, they fell asleep in the car.

 

 

Once they got to the park, they loved it.  There were the perfect sized rides for them.  Since I wasn't feeling 100%, Grandma got to ride all the fun rides with Braydon.

Then on Monday, we got up and headed to the water park.  Braydon use to be pretty afraid of the water, so I wasn't sure what he would do.  Well he completely loved it!  After Ava showed him how fun it could be, he tried everything.  He was even going down the slide!
