Colorado road trip

Thursday, October 14th we headed to Perry to begin another road trip - this time to Colorado. Since there was 6 of us going, we had to borrow the minivan from Pat and Lumpy. Thursday night we loaded up the van with Ryan, Braydon and myself and picked up our good friends Sarah and Corey and their 7 month old son, Reid. After packing everything we own, we headed towards the rockies! We got to kearney, ne around 1:30am and I decided we should sleep. So we rested and then got of up and going in the morning. Luckily the gas station we always stop at was open and Braydon and Reid got their picture taken by the bear!

Friday we drove to Denver, got our packets for the race and saw a few of the downtown sights. We headed to Andy and Jenn's house and enjoyed a nice dinner and some time on the swing set for the kids . Ryan and Ava enjoying some pasta.

Saturday morning we loaded everyone up into two cars and headed to the mountains.

We drove up loveland pass and had some fun hiking around the continnental divide and freezing in the 39 degree weather up there.

We didn't stay long and headed to Breckenridge where we enjoyed Eric's downstairs and some shopping. Braydon found a slide that he liked.

We headed back to the house to watch Iowa beat up on Michigan. Of course all the kids had to be dressed appropriately for the game.

Sunday morning Sarah, Andy and I got up early and headed downtown for the Denver Rock n Roll marathon. Everyone did great and survived! We of course had the best fan support!

After showers and lots of ibprofren we jumped back into the car and headed home!

It was a fun trip and can't wait to go back and take the kids skiing and maybe stay a little longer!
