Braydon's 1st trip to Colorado!

On Thursday night, Braydon, Grandpa & Grandma Lundstrom and I all loaded up in the minivan for yet another trip! This time we were headed to Colorado to celebrate cousin Ava's 1st birthday! Braydon did pretty good in the car and we made it all the way to Ogallala at midnight and decided to stop and rest before the rest of our trip. The next morning we started driving again and stopped at a rest stop in Fort Morgan. Braydon had a Cubs shirt on and made friends with EVERYONE at the truck stop. We heard a few "Go Cubs" and a few "Maybe next year". There was a big grasser area that he just sat and played for a little while.

Finally we made it to Denver and Ava, Aunt Jenn and Uncle Andy were all waiting for us. We just hung out until Uncle Joel, Aunt Kristen and cousins Tyson and Charlie showed up. That night we went for a walk to the park and Braydon and Ava got to swing together. For once, Braydon didn't cry when he was swinging, but we are still not sure if he liked it.

Saturday morning we all got up and headed to another park and went to the petting zoo. Braydon got to pet his first calf and goat. Charlie loved the petting zoo and loved watching the ducks. Then we all loaded up on the little train that goes around the park. Everyone really liked this, except for the tunnel part.

Braydon even enjoyed waving at everyone as we rode past. Then we grabbed some lunch and Joel, Andy, Tyson and myself went swimming for a little while, so everyone could get ready for the party.

Ava's party was a hit and she sure looked fancy in her pink tutu and giant pink bow. The house was decorated with everything pink and we topped it off with Ava eating her own cupcake!

While hanging out Saturday night, Braydon decided it would be a good time to start walking! He was getting good at taking 2 or 3 steps, but he decided to be a little braver that night. He was taking like 10 - 12 steps between me and Aunt Kristen. We also became a crazy man. Climbing on EVERYTHING. He loved Ava's chair, rocking chair and of course the stairs.

Sunday morning we loaded everyone into 3 cars (yes it takes 3 cars now to get us all and all of our baby gear somewhere) and headed for a hike. It was beautiful as Colorado mountains always are.

We grabbed a bite to eat and of course some ice cream in Morrison and then headed to Target to get Ava's birthday present - a red wagon. All kids were really helpful in putting it together.
