Fishing Day at Spring Lake

Growing up, Ryan and I both remember going to Spring Lake.  Its this fun Lake where you can camp right on the shore, swim on the beach, go fishing, rent row and paddle boats, and go to the rollerskating rink.  Ryan and his cousin Chris use to go with this Grandma Dar and I use to go camping with my family and friends. 

So one Sunday we decided to go fishing and picked Spring Lake.  It was so much fun and a beautiful day.  Although it seemed a lot smaller than we remembered, it also seemed like it hadn't changed at all.  Braydon had a new fishing pole to try out that got for his birthday from Papa and Grandma Pat.

We also thought it would be fun to have a little picnic.  So we set out a blanket and had sandwiches and chips!  The boys loved it.

As we were eating lunch we still had some poles in the water.  Ryan noticed one of them go under, so he went running over to get it.  Everyone has on the dock helping, Braydon was even holding on to Ryan to help him. They saw the fish and it was huge!  It ended up snapping the line...the one that got away

After fishing, we headed over to the snack shack for some ice cream.  Braydon and Kellan were not shy about ordering!

What a fun way to spend a Sunday.  Although we did not catch one fish...we will definitely go back!
