Thansgiving 2011

Thanksgiving was filled with family, food and fun like usual.  Pretty much it started on Wednesday when the Kansas Lundstroms came to town.  They were nice enough to pick Braydon and up so we could head to Perry with them that afternoon. The boys were all pretty excited to see each other and Braydon was really excited to ride in the Suburban!

Once we got to the Lundstrom household, the boys had a lot of fun playing together.  G & G Lundstrom even "volunteered" to babysit all the boys that night so the big kids could head out for a night out on the town.

Tyson was too busy taking phone calls to pose for a picture

Great Aunt Rose brought a scooter for the boys to ride around, I think it was a hit!

The weather was so nice we even got to shoot hoops in the driveway.  Tyson is a great shot and loves to pretend he is one of the K-state players
Thursday we hung out at the Lundstroms all day eating and visiting with everyone.  We again played outside and Braydon enjoyed the leaves and shooting hoops with Grandpa.

Braydon even played cards and was really good at stealing quarters from everyone.

Friday we hung out in Perry again and headed to the lighted parade.  Braydon loved the lighted parade!  He also enjoyed the popcorn he got to share with Lydia.  He thought the lights were awesome and stood in the street stomping his feet in excitement.

After the parade it was time to go see Santa.  Not sure if you remember how it went last year, but we had a screaming kid that was extremely scared of Santa.  So I didn't have high hopes this year.  But he thought Santa was pretty neat.  It even helped that his cousins went before time and showed him how to do it.

Saturday we had Thanksgiving at Grandpa Winks.  We again ate lots of food and hung out with family.  Braydon had a lot of fun hanging out with his 2nd cousins and playings.

Sunday we got together with the Lundstroms.  They invited Braydon to the hotel to go swimming with them.  Of course Tyson and Charlie jump right in.  Braydon was not ready.  So we sat there watching them swim for about 20 minutes.  After asking Braydon 20 times "do you want to go swimming?" and him replying "no."  We finally got him to enter the water.  He was cautiously hanging out on the steps.  Then finally he let Uncle Joel take him swimming.  He really liked it.

After swimming we headed to the mall.  To our surprise, no one was there.  So the boys got to ride the train and go see Santa.

We had a great Thanksgiving that definitely kept us busy and we had a great time.  We have a lot of things to be thankful for and we really enjoyed all the time we got to spend with our family.
