4th of July Weekend

For 4th of July weekend we went to Kansas for some family time. First of all, we had Sarah Huyck and Roger Bailey's wedding in Des Moines on Friday night. Sarah looked gorgeous and we all danced our butts off at the reception! We had a great time. Congrats Sarah and Roger!

Saturday morning, we loaded up Ryan, me, Braydon, Pat, Lumpy, cousin Jason, Wrigley and Joey all into the van and took off Manhattan Kansas.


We got there Saturday afternoon and all the other Lundstrom's were there! We haven't seen Ava (and Andy and Jenn) since Christmas, so it was fun to see how much she has grown and changed.


All the cousins enjoyed hanging out with each other. Joel and Kristen were great hosts and we ate, drank and ate and drank some more. The boys went and bought some more fireworks, so that was always entertaining. The fireworks didn't bother any of the kids except for Wrigley!

We tried to Braydon in the pool again, but he really didn't like it. I thought maybe Ava and the boys would show him how much fun it was, but he just really didn't care.




Saturday was a nice day, then it proceeded to rain the rest of the time. So we definitely had some family bonding time. On Monday we went bowling and it is true - Tyson beat Grandpa!




Aunt Rose sent all the kids Old Navy 4th of July t-shirts. Well Andy and Jenn took it further and decided that EVERYONE needed to have one. Here's the group pic.



Did I mention that the sleeping arrangements were great! Grandpa, Grandma, Charlie, Wrigley, Joey and Mina all got to share the big bed! If you look real hard you can find Charlie!


We brought a beach ball for Tyson to play with and Ryan got the pleasure of blowing it up. The video is of Tyson patiently waiting.
